Just notices a particularly careless bug I caused in Safari by not closing a <div> tag. Fixed.

Launched a semi-major update to StudyZip today: http://budurl.com/6eyn

Semi-major update - new browse navigation

I did a major update to the system over the weekend, which I pushed live today. Most of it was behind the scenes - prepping the database for shared study decks - but I did make some updates to the card list and deck list pages that you can see now. I decided the expanding div thing was just getting a little annoying and wanted to simplify the interface a little.

I also added a grading system for cards and decks that is displayed on the list pages and shows how well you know the item using a familiar A, B, C, etc nomenclature.

I think I have all the kinks worked out, but let me know if any bugs show up as a result of this update.

Set up GetSatisfaction for support and added Feedback tab to the site. Would love to hear ideas/problems/etc so I can make things better.

Just added card stats to the study page so you can see how well the system thinks you know each card: http://budurl.com/cardstats

Added card stats to study page

I think a little refinement will be necessary to make the stats a little more user-friendly, but for now I’ve added a min-dashboard showing your score for the card (how well you know it on a scale of 1-100) your win record (times right / total times seen) and how long its been since you last saw the card. Hopefully this will help explain why some cards show up more often or less often.

Flash card study statistics

My other motive for adding the stats is so I can monitor how the score is adjusting while I’m studying my own decks and decide if I need to tweak any of the algorithms that adjust the score.

Looks like I created a bug in Safari when I added in the keyboard controls for fill-in-the-blank. Just fixed that as well.

Woah - some sort of database problem. Working on a fix now. Not super happy with our hosting provider since stuff like this happens a lot.

Fixed. Sorry about that. I’ll probably be looking for a new company to host the Studyzip beta soon - any suggestions?
